More fun!!!

We had more visitors this past weekend. The girls have been treated to visits from both sets of grandparents in the last two weekends. It is so special to spend time with our families, thanks for visiting.

Oh Canada!!

As you all can well imagine, the Olympics were a big deal in our house for the 17 or so days in February. Here are some shots of the good times in the Dueck basement. Julie is the artist of all of the flags on the wall. These photos are taken when Canada won the Gold Medal Match!!!!! Our girls even made us breakfast to eat in front of the television on a Saturday morning. It was really cute to observe their devotion and enthusiasm!

Camping with Wiens's

So there it is. Great times with my family. Sorry Stacy I ddn't have one picture of you guys... I need to have my camera with me more. We spent time with Jerry and Stacy, Mark and Bonnie and Dad and Mom. We missed you Craig and Janelle. These memories we will cherish.

The other Duecks!!

We had a great time visiting Ryan, Naomi, Nicky and Claire. They were super tourist guides and it was so fun spending time together. Of course Lana had a does of the "real thing" hanging out with her Uncle Ryan!!!

On to the the Ferry!!

First Leg!!!

The first leg of our vacation took us to Calgary to celebrate a bunch of Wiens side b-days and of course Gil's as well.













We had the pleasure of seeing my Californian uncle and cousin for one night!!! A great time to visit and enjoy catching up.













Here is my cousin Hilary, she loves the babies. She was sporting the Stampede attire, ready to join in with the festivities.











This was Kendal on the first leg of the trip, only three more to go!!!

Our Little Climber

So our little princess has discovered the joy of the bunk bed ladder. One day we just found her up there and could only assume she had got up there on her own. As we started spying on her we found her methods quite hilarious.

Redberry Bible Camp!!!

It was Redberry Camp Church Day, so we went out for the day. The kids had a blast. We had a sevice together with a bunch of churches, had lunch together, then the kids could try out the different activities.

Skateboarding was a real hit!!


Apparently both of the girls are fearless!!! Lana preferred hanging upside down, to sitting upright.

Ballet Recital!!

Ballet is finished for the year!! The girls had their year end recital and they loved it, make-up, buns, a lot of hair spray, costumes, and a flower from their teacher to end it all off.


Julie was a teddy bear and did a lovely dance, which included a teddy bear picnic!!

Here Lana is front and center, I as a little bit surprised. She wasn't intimidated by the audience at all, a little performer we have.

Lana's costume was a green froggie outfit, terribly cute!! Here she is doing the leap frog part of the dance.

Punta Cana!!!

So these two pictures are of our room, it was really nice!! A balcony out the doors!


Of course the beach!! It was beautiful!! The ocean was like bath water, so warm and clean!!!

This is a two person catamaran, that Gil and I went on. Gil has proven himself a sailor on the beaches of Punta Cana!!!

This is a picture from our balcony, we were getting ready to go out for dinner, oh ya and we didn't have to search for a babysitter, all taken care of!!!


This is actually us in the airport in Toronto on the way to Punta Cana, so peaceful. We were both reading uninterrupted.

Gil read some, but not as much as he thought. He however could be found many a afternoon under the palm leafed thatch, it has a name....

So for those of you curious about our trip to the Dominican Republic, it was fantastic!! Here are some picture to tell you about it!! Some key phrases that we heard there " Cheapy, cheapy, almost free!", " How much you wanna pay", mostly from the many trying to sell something to us. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who is wanting a place to escape and relax!!!

Our Kendal is all about her sisters stuff, she found Lana's sunglasses and had to show them off right away to her daddy when he got home!!

This is Kendal's first experience walking outside!!!! She had so much fun slipping on the ice and just toddling around. No complaints even when she fell down.

Julie won this art easel at the Coaldale Family Day Celebrations. We have been very steady in our production of artwork, the girls love making pictures for Gil to take to work and hang on his walls.

Do we have a future hockey star?? Lana sure loved wearing Gil's stinky hockey helmet!! So here is the update and thanks for looking at Gil's lovely stitches for so long. Til next time.
