She's moving!!

Hey all, I thought that I would update you all on how the youngest in the family is doing. Kendal is officially crawling all over the place and is pulling herself up on toys. She seems quite proud of herself.
Lana loves to help with Kendal, she loves to play, feed and constantly talk to Kendal.

Better Late Than Never!!!

This year we stayed home for Thanksgiving, and Grandpa and Grandma Dueck came to join us. We had a great time exploring in the woods, okay there was a path that took us to the river.

Fun times writing on the sand bar!!!

Of course Grandpa founds some rocks to throw!!!!!

I think that I will take this moment to say how very thankful I am for our families, for the wonderful grandparents, great- grandparents, uncles, aunties and cousins. We also live in a place where we have experienced rich community, our friends are always there for us!!!! We are a very grateful for all that we have been given.

Here she is at school, ready to go inside!!!

Here are the other two, happy to see Julie off to school so they can have their mom to themselves for the day!!! Lana is liking the time at home being the biggest sister for a couple of days a week.

We had so much fun this weekend!!! The first thing the girls did was ask Grandma if she could read them a story,Kendal jump in for her first story from Grandma.

Easter Fun!!!

This last week we were out in Alberta to spend Easter with my family and to celebrate my dad's 60th B-day!!! Riding horses is always a must on the the things to do when we visit Grandpa Garry!!! The four older cousins are all enjoying a little ride.

Here are the three youngest cousins!! Matthew, Elias, and Kendal, so cute!!!

What is Easter without a few chocolate treats and fun with Grandpa and Grandma!!

He is Risen!!!

In this season of Easter we pray that it would be one that would present opportunities to evaluate the meaning of the cross for all of us. The question that I continually come across in my life is, how can/should I follow Jesus to know better what the term disciple is all about?

This is also our latest family picture, four out of five has to count as a good picture.

Visitors!!!

We had the pleasure of having a visit with the Giesbrecht family this weekend. The weekend was filled with many a Ticket to Ride games, talking about "being in the mad", coffee, one senior men's hockey game, free public skating for the kids and lots of other fun stuff.

The kids had lots of fun wrestling, playing and getting to know each other.

As always there was a bit of time trying to get baby Kendal to smile too. She seems to be apart of the agenda wherever we go. So thanks for coming for a visit, it was lots of fun.

We are back!!!

Here are the Dueck girls!!!!! What a cute trio!! As you can tell Julie and Lana swarm Kendal when I lay her down on the floor, trying desperately to get a smile from their sister.

We just bought Lana skates and she is loving having the opportunity of learning to skate. She watched Julie one time and then said " I need skates too!!!".

Here is Kendal, like I said she is growing and is already becoming a beautiful little girl!!!

An Update

Hi Everyone,
I just realized that it had been quite a while since my last post, so for you regular checkers, sorry. I have no pictures this time because our USB cable was squished and now we need a new one.
Life continues at a dull roar around here. I am babysitting again and getting used to doing it with a baby on my arm. Gil is back at work and of course still busy.
Kendal is now a whopping 9lbs 10ozs and 23 inches long. She has obviously been busy eating. Julie and Lana are fine tuning the strategy in squabbling. They are specifically researching which pitch irritates mom the most. We have started this new fighting and screaming stage, apparently it will continue for the next 15 years... how exciting.
So that is what is new in our household. We are getting a family picture taken next week, so hopefully I will get a cord by then.
Here is a quote that I found on Gil's blog that I really appreciated. It helps in answering the question " Where is God?". To answer the next question, " Where did this come from?". It is my blog if I feel like putting in random quotes with no explanation, I will.
Blessings.

“Part of the inner world of everyone is this sense of emptiness, unease, incompleteness, and I believe that this in itself is a word from God, that this is the sound that God’s voice makes in a world that has explained him away. In such a world, I suspect that maybe God speaks to us most clearly through his silence, his absence, so that we know him best through our missing him.”

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year to all of you reading this post. As you can see our precious baby did make an arrival on December 23/07 at 1:43 pm, weighing in at 8lbs 3oz. She is already such a wonderful addition to our family!!! We are all adjusting, but really enjoying Kendal Joy.
Here she is at 1.5 weeks old, what a cutie(an unbiased opinion).
